GHS honorees for March reported

“Teacher of the Month” and two “Student of the Month” awards.

The 1999-2000 journalism staff at Gallatin High School sponsors a “Teacher of the Month” and two “Student of the Month” awards. One teacher, one junior high student, and one high school student are selected each month.

Adam Strein is our Gallatin Junior High Student of the Month for March. Adam participates in football, wrestling, basketball, track, and Science Olympiad.

Third quarter honor roll

Gallatin R-5 recently announced its third quarter honor roll. Students on the Principal’s Honor Roll with a 4.00 G.P.A. are seniors Chanel Burge and Allison Spidle; juniors Rochelle Davitt and Kara Sullenger; and freshmen Kamille Burrell, Roxanne Davitt and Jamie Lunsford.

Gallatin R-5 athletes, cheerleaders, managers and statisticians recognized at the Bulldog winter sports banquet.

Gallatin R-5 athletes, cheerleaders, managers and statisticians drew recognition last Thursday night from R-5 boosters at the Bulldog winter sports banquet.

Bulldog cheerleader sponsor Natalie Shuler introduced the 1999-2000 basketball cheerleaders and thanked them for their hard work. They were: Anna Barton, Rebecca Harper, Ida Jarboe, Shannon O’Dell, Mackenzie Riley and captain Kara Sullenger.

Club met at Breadeaux with 12 members and one guest present.

Gallatin Garden Club met Tuesday, April 21, at Breadeaux with 12 members and one guest, RoDonna Collier, present. Several places for planting flowers for beautification of the city were discussed. It was decided to donate $25 toward the prom lock-in at Gallatin R-5. Maxine Linville will be hostess at 2 p.m. on April 18 at Breadeaux.
