Lindi Wayne dances way to national competition

Local Gallatin girls attend Dance America competition on Feb. 12, 2000.

Lindi Wayne, daughter of Jim and Cheri Wayne of Gallatin, and Kirsten Bowe, daughter of Charles and Kristina Hubbard of Gallatin, attended Dance America competition on Feb. 12, 2000. Lindi danced in “Arkansas Traveler.” This dance received first place and a high enough score to qualify for Nationals in Orlando, Fla. Lindi and Kirsten both performed in “Freeze Frame.”

Dr. Frost moves to district’s lead

Dr. Greg Frost, a Gallatin R-5 alumnus, became the Superintendent of Schools of the Bowling Green R-1 School District.

Gladys (Pogue) Siever, 83, Jamesport, died Feb. 19, 2000, at Hedrick Medical Center.

Funeral services for Gladys Siever were held Feb. 23, at Jamesport Baptist Church with arrangements by Bram Funeral Home, Jamesport. Elles “Bud” Nickell

Elles G. “Bud” Nickell, 70, Sedalia, died Feb. 17, 2000, at his home.

Funeral services for Elles Nickell, a former resident of Daviess County, were held Sunday at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel in Sedalia. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests constitutions to the First Christian Church of Sedalia.
