Boyd E. Feurt, 96, Jameson, died Dec. 28, 1999.

Funeral services for Boyd E. Feurt will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 31, 1999, at Hope-Eldringhoff Funeral Home in Gallatin. Visitation will start at 1:30 at the funeral home. Buirial will be at Grand River Cemetery in Jameson.

Velvred Mervis (Joe) Bailey, 85, Gallatin, died Dec. 28,1999.

Velvred Mervis (Joe) Bailey, 85, Gallatin, formerly of Norman, Okla., died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, at Cameron Community Hospital.

Mr. Bailey was born in Gilmer, Texas. He was a resident of Daviess County Care Center in Gallatin.

He was a self-employed carpenter.

Mr. Bailey is survived by a son, Jerry of Jamesport.

Interment will be in the Jamesport Memorial with arrangements

Peewee wrestling camp and tournament

Peewee wrestling camp and tournament for students at Covel D. Searcy Elementary School Jan.3 through Jan.15

There will be a wrestling camp and tournament for students at Covel D. Searcy Elementary School beginning on Jan. 3 and running through Jan. 15. Instruction at the camp will be given by Doug Nichols, varsity high school wrestlers and other adults.

Pattonsburg UMC Charge

Valerie presented a program on the birth of our Christ with Bible verses and song. The choir performed a medley “How Great Our Joy.” Larry and Sally Cameron performed a duet on piano and trombone.

After church, cookie plates were assembled and delivered in our community. Valerie hosted an Open House at the parsonage from 4-7 on Sunday.
