Rotary celebrates 75th

The Gallatin Rotary Club celebrated its 75th anniversary recently.

Gallatin Rotary Club celebrated its 75th anniversary with a commemorative ceremony Monday, Sept. 20, 1999, at the Gallatin Community Building.

After an invocation by Assistant District Governor Richard Parker, William Nofsinger, Governor of Rotary District 6040, presented the 75th anniversary plaque to Gallatin Rotary President Roger Eichler.

Church under construction

Work continues in Pattonsburg on the new Baptist Church building.

A new Baptist Church soon will serve the Pattonsburg Baptist congregation. The new facility continues under construction at the intersection of Highway 169 and Route C. The congregation will meet at the old church in the old town until the new building is completed.

New signs in town

Bethany Trust Company signs have gone up in Gallatin.

New signs have gone up on the Bethany Trust Company building on the northeast corner of the Gallatin square. The Bethany firm purchased the former Bank of Gallatin about a year ago.

BTC also purchased First State Bank of New Hampton. Bank officials recently annouced it plans to build a new facility at Albany. That location will be on Highway 136,

Troop H of the Missouri Highway Patrol will come to Gallatin on Nov. 8 for a town hall meeting.

Airman Angel Reed has been deployed to Egypt.

SRA Angel Dawn Reed has been deployed by the Air Force to Egypt for a three-month stay, from late August to late November. Ms. Reed has been stationed in South Carolina at Shaw Air Force Base. The North Daviess R-3 Board of Education recently in regular session.
