Burke-Egger vows

Jennifer Burke and Kirby Egger exchanged wedding vows on Sept. 4.

Jennifer Denise Burke, Gallatin, and Kirby Brent Egger, formerly of Gallatin, exchanged wedding vows during a double ring ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, at the First Baptist Church in Gallatin. Jennifer is the daughter of Junior and Sharon Burke, Gallatin, and Brent is the son of Mike and Roxanne King, Princeton, and Bill and Jacque Egger, Guymon, Okla.

The Gallatin School District has been awarded a $12,600 grant for promotion of the Internet.

Winston depot needs train

The Winston Historical Society has formed an R&D committee to search for a train for the town’s historic depot.

The Winston Historical Society recently formed a Research and Development Committee. The committee’s first project will be to conduct a feasibility study to see about obtaining a train at the depot in order to add interest to the site.

McFadin is “senior counselor”

Gallatin attorney Richard McFadin has been hnored by the Missouri Bar Association.

Gallatin attorney, Richard E. McFadin, was honored recently as a “Senior Counselor” of The Missouri Bar.

The “Senior Counselor” title is bestowed upon attorneys who have reached the age of 75 years or who have been admitted to The Missouri Bar for 50 years. The recognition ceremonies came during the Opening Luncheon at The Missouri Bar Annual Meeting

GHS girls fall to 3-10

Gallatin’s loss to Princeton placed them 3-10 overall and 1-6 in the GRC.

Rain forced cancellation of Monday’s non-conference softball game between Gallatin and East Buchanan and postponement of Tuesday’s conference contest between Gallatin and South Harrison. That game was scheduled to be held Sept. 29 at the GHS field.

Gallatin fell to 3-10 overall and 1-6 in the Grand River Conference last Thursday after a 12-1 loss to Princeton.
