Highway contracts awarded

Contracts for several area highway projects have been awarded by the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission.

The Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission has awarded contracts for work on Route 13 in Daviess County and Route A in Caldwell County. The contract was awarded in the amounts of $276,489.40 with $172,444.80 awarded to R.A. Knapp Construction Inc. of Lenexa, Kan.

Heath Cake Dessert

1 box chocolate cake mix

1 can Eagle Brand milk

4 crushed Heath candy bars

1 cup milk chocolate chips

1 cup chopped nuts

1 carton Cool Whip

Bake chocolate cake in 13×9 pan, following box directions. Remove from oven, cool 10 minutes. Pierce cake several times with big prong fork or ice pick. Pour Eagle Brand milk over cake. Sprinkle two crushed Heath bars over top

Gibson receives scholarship

Annie Gibson has been awarded the Michael E. Mackintosh Scholarship.

Annie Gibson has been awarded the “Michael E. Mackintosh Scholarship” for her final two years of attendance at the University of Missouri at Columbia. Annie is a 1997 graduate of Gallatin High School and is pre-law major at MU. She is the daughter of Jean and Bob Gibson of Gallatin.

Ronald Sadler d. 1999

Funeral services for Ronald Sadler were held Tuesday at Bram Funeral Home in Maysville. Burial was at Amity Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Church, Amity, 64421, or the American Diabetes Association, in care of the funeral home.

Ronald Eugene Sadler, 40, Amity, died June 26, 1999, at Cameron Community Hospital.
