You may have seen donation boxes at various places around town. The boxes at Lynch’s, Place’s, and the post office say “Love Letters Needs Your Help,” and they hardly begin to explain what Love Letters is all about.

Love Letters is a non-profit organization thats purpose is to send letters and gifts to children dealing with long term or devastating illnesses.

Oscar and Dorothy Grove to celebrate 62nd anniversary

Oscar and Dorothy Grove of Colorado Springs, Colo., will celebrate their 62nd wedding anniversary on May 29. The Grove’s lived in the Gallatin and the Splawn Ridge areas for many years.

They have two children, a daughter, Carol June Vogler of Colorado Springs, and a son, Bill Grove of Frisco, Colo. Their grandson, Erik Grove, lives in Denver, Colo.

Joanne (Perry) Fitch, 49, Pattonsburg, formerly of Hamilton, died May 7, 1999, at a Kansas City, Kan., hospital.

Mrs. Fitch was born and reared in California. She was a high school graduate and attended college for two years. She had lived in Hamilton for three years before moving to Cameron a month ago to live with a daughter, Cynthia Fitch.
