Doris Jackson 1931-1999

Graveside services and burial for Doris Jackson, a former resident of Pattonsburg, were held Tuesday at Woods Cemetery, north of Maysville, with arrangements by Bram Funeral Home, Maysville.

Doris M. (Goosey) Jackson, 68, Kansas City, died March 19, 1999, at a Kansas City hospital.

Ruth Carter 1915-1999

Funeral services for Ruth Ellen Carter were held Sunday at Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg. Burial was at McFall Cemetery. Ruth Ellen Carter, 84, McFall, died March 18, 1999, at the Cameron hospital.

Mrs. Carter, a homemaker, was born in Harrison County.

She was married to Carl Carter. He died in 1981.

Mrs. Carter was also preceded in death by a son, Stanley, in 1996; and a grandson, Joshua Carter.

St. Pius looks big on the inside, talented from 3-point

Having vanquished one physically taller post season opponent, the Gallatin Bulldogs will face another tonight in the state-ranked (#8) St. Pius X Warriors. A ranked team for nearly all of the 1998-99 season, St. Pius would like to add a Class 2A basketball title to the 2A football championship won by the Warriors back in

November. Of course, 2-time defending champ Pembroke Hill might have something to say about that.
